Features:
COBRA ER80S-D2 is an Mn-Mo type solid welding wire for Gas-Shielded (GMAW) welding of High strength steels. The AWS classification ER80S-D2 is based on 100%Co2, allowing a higher strength classification according to the gas selection, ER90S-D2 is achievable utilising a Mixed gas Argon/Co2.
Additions of Mn-Mo give a minimum 550Mpa yield strength, suitable to a range of base materials including AISI 4130 / 4140 (stressed relieved), Q&T plate joints, line boring applications for improved toughness
